Warrant: Ex-FWCS Employee Stole from District

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An arrest warrant has been issued for a former Fort Wayne Community Schools employee accused of stealing money from the school district. 

The News-Sentinel reports that 54-year-old Patty Coffelt is accused of using district “procurement cards” to steal more than $14,000 from the district to pay off her personal utility bills and to buy a digital camera. She allegedly made that purchase while using a sick day. The thefts allegedly happened between 2012 and 2014.

Coffelt is facing two felony charges of theft.
