Wanted Man in Custody

WARSAW, Ind (WOWO):  Warsaw police received a tip that lead to the arrest of Christopher Clapp, a noted con man and thief. Early this afternoon, Clapp submitted an application for employment at a Fort Wayne business. An employer read the form, saw the attempt to locate Christopher Clapp in the news and contacted Warsaw detectives.

Officer then went to the address that Clapp put on his application, which turned out to be the Travel Inn in Fort Wayne. After a short period of surveillance, they located Christopher Clapp and took him into custody.

WARSAW, Ind (WOWO): A con-man now wanted in three states, may be hiding somewhere in Michiana.

Police are on the hunt for Chris Clapp a noted con man and thief that’s wanted in Montana, Ohio, and now Indiana, after stealing from a Warsaw woman. Brooke Bays says she knew Clapp for 5 years and rented him a room when he needed a place to stay, a wek later her credit cards were missing and someone was trying to take out money.

He is identified as a white male around 6’2 with black hair and a goatee. Clapp also has a distinctive dragoon tattoo on his shoulder. He may be going by various names such as Chris Clark or Chris Cerelli. Anyone with information is urged to contact Warsaw Police.
