Veterans Day Freebies

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some of the area businesses paying tribute to veterans:


Applebee's: Free entrée from a fixed menu on Veterans Day.


Bob Evans Restaurants: Choice of four free breakfast items.

Buffalo Wild Wings: At participating locations from 4-7 p.m., free small wings and side of fries for veterans and active duty members of the military.

Chili's: Free entrée from a set menu.

Cracker Barrel: Free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola cake for veterans.


Dairy Queen: Free $5 dollar meals (with ID or proof of service) at Coldwater Road, Coliseum Blvd, Rothman Road, Lower Huntington Road, Maysville Road and Leo Crossing.


Dunkin’ Donuts: has a special offer for active and inactive service members at participating stores in the Fort Wayne area restaurants: Free Medium Hot or Iced Coffee on Veterans Day

Great Clips salon chain: free haircuts. Vets can either get a free cut or a voucher for a free cut to use any time before the end of the year. Other customers who purchase a service on Veterans Day will get a free haircut voucher to give to a vet (must be redeemed in the same time frame, and there's a limit of one per customer.)

Golden Corral: Free buffet dinner and beverage from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at all locations.

IHOP: Free pancakes with strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Little Caesars: Free $5 pizza-and-beverage lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Show military ID and get a free Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage.

Long John Silver’s: Free 2-piece fish basket for veterans Monday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 13.

McDonald's: In northern Indiana and southwest Michigan will honor veterans with a free Extra Value Meal

Meineke Car Care Centers: Free oil changes. (Basic oil change only; advance booking at Meineke.com is recommended.)

Mike's Car Wash: FREE Carwash for all Veterans and Active Military Personnel.

Olive Garden: Free meal from a special menu; family members eating with them get 10 percent off their meals.

Outback: Free Bloomin’ Onion and drink for members of the military. Those who are deployed can get a rain check to enjoy the giveaway later.

Ponderosa Steakhouse: Both Ponderosa and its sister chain Bonanza Steakhouse offer free meals for veterans and active military from 4 p.m. until closing.

Red Lobster: Free appetizer or dessert (no purchase necessary) from a special menu, from Monday through Thursday.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers: Free Red's Tavern Double burger with fries.

Smokey Bones: Free entree from a limited menu for veterans and active military.

Sport Clips: Some area locations are offering free haircuts to active duty U.S. service members and veterans.
Starbucks: Free tall (12-ounce) coffee, also open to military spouses.

Steak 'n Shake: Free breakfast skillet and coffee from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. for veterans.

T.G.I. Friday's: Free lunch from a special menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch (an entree and a drink) for active, former and retired members of the military.
