Vehicle struck by train in DeKalb County, four passengers injured

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Four passengers are injured after a vehicle was struck by a train.

The driver of the vehicle was heading east on County Road 34 in the 6400 block. The driver said he did not see the train heading south.

The train struck the vehicle as it was crossing the tracks.

Three juveniles were inside the vehicle at the time along with the driver.

One male juvenile had a possible fracture on the upper right arm. The second juvenile, a female, had back pain and a knot on the head. Another female juvenile complained of leg pain.

All occupants were taken to the Parkview Regional Medical Center.
