Van Wert County officers bust marijuana grow operation

VAN WERT COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): Officers in Van Wert (Ohio) County busted a marijuana grow operation Wednesday.

After receiving a tip, Van Wert County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Riley Street. Police found $9,000 worth of marijuana plants, lights and drug paraphernalia, according to the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department. 

A man was inside home in Willshire, but he was released. A nuisance abatement letter was sent to the property owners.

The letter will tell the owners about the illegal activity and ask them to stop. Officers are still investigating the operation.
