Utility Wants to Raise Leo-Cedarville Water Rates

If you are customer of Pioneer Water in Leo-Cedarville your rates could be going up. The company wants to raise rates in a two-phase increase that would ultimately see the average residential customer – about 5,000 gallons a month, paying $22 dollars more per month. The first would increase goes to $48.68. The second would bump it to $57.01. The The company wants to retire $185 thousand dollars in debt. The rate hike, would be the first since 1998. A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday night at the Leo-Cedarville Park Pavilion at 5:30 p.m.  You can also make share your views in writing anytime before the close of business on Friday, July 19, 2013.


The OUCC is scheduled to file its report and recommendations with the Commission on July 25, 2013.
