STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Two people were airlifted after a head-on crash in Steuben County Tuesday afternoon.

The Sheriff's Department reports that multiple agencies were called to the scene of the crash which involved a car and an SUV on US 20 just west of SR 327 around 2:30 p.m., Tuesday. 71-year-old Sharon Meyers of Pleasant Lake, was traveling on US 20 when for an unknown reason, she drove left of center and collided head-on with 48-year-old Jeffrey Peters of Fort Wayne. Both drivers were pinned inside their vehicles and had to freed by fire crews.

Peters and Meyers were later flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center by helicopter. Their conditions are unknown.
