Original Story:

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Police believe a pair of mysterious deaths may be related.

The first happened on Friday night around 5:51 p.m. when a vehicle summoned help at the St. Joseph Hospital Emergency entrance.  The staff found a man in critical condition and rushed him into the emergency room where he later died.  The driver took off as soon as the victim was moved to the emergency room.

Less than 30 minutes later the Fort Wayne Police Department got a call about an unconscious man in the 1200 block of Michigan Avenue.  When police and medics arrived at 6:13 p.m. they found the victim inside an apartment.  He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.  After arriving, it wasn't long before he was pronounced dead by a physician.

Preliminary reports by detectives say the two male victims knew each other.  They also note that neither of the victims had visible signs of traumatic injury that contributed to their deaths.  At this time police are not saying if the deaths are related or if they're part of a criminal act.

They say if anyone has information to call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260-427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.
