UPDATE: Two killed in Stellhorn Rd crash identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A woman and a male juvenile are dead after a fiery crash on Stellhorn Road last weekend.

The Fort Wayne Police Department says the crash happened in the 3700 block of Stellhorn at 5:07 p.m. One eastbound car seemingly lost control and veered into westbound traffic, hitting the other vehicle head-on.

By the time officers arrived they found one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames, with two people still inside. After the fire was put out the two victims, the woman and the juvenile, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were later identified as Summer Lee-Nicole Keesler, 23 of Fort Wayne, and Kevin Leroy Wiesehan, 13 of Woodburn.

The Allen County Coroner reports Keesler died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns. Wiesehan died of blunt force injury to the head and thermal burns.

Their deaths were both ruled an accident.

The driver of the second vehicle, an adult, male, was hospitalized with chest pains and was last listed in fair condition.

Due to the road conditions, Stellhorn Road was closed from Wyandotte to Roseview as officers cleared the scene.
