UPDATE: The Body Found after Shooting on Hawthorn St., Identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man found unresponsive on Hawthorne Street Tuesday afternoon, has been identified.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday morning and the Allen County Coroner has identified the man as 21-year-old Marcus Bibbs.

Bibbs was pronounced dead around 4:00 p.m., Tuesday near Webster and Hawthorn Streets. Officers were called to the scene after someone called police saying they heard about six gunshots near that intersection.

The cause of death has been determined to be gunshot wounds and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

Bibb's death is the third homicide ruling for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2015. Meanwhile the shooting, remains under investigation.
