UPDATE: Teens Still in Critical Condition after Cass St. Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two teens are still in critical condition after a Wednesday night shooting in downtown Fort Wayne.

Police say the shootings started off as a drug deal around 8:45 p.m. near Fifth and Cass Streets. Both teens were shot in an alleyway, and they made their way up the 1400 block of Cass Street with gunshot wounds.

According to the Journal Gazette, police found one of the teens lying in the backyard of a home. The other teen went to a different house up the block to get help. There is a third person of interest in the case who is likely younger than 18.

There was another shooting Wednesday night at Eden Green Apartments on the southeast side of the city that left one person in serious condition

Police have since ruled that the shootings were not connected.
