NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO):  Dozens of rail cars jumped the tracks in a derailment Monday morning east of New Haven.

More than two dozen cars in the 84-car train were forced off the rails, but there appears to be no public safety threat.

Norfolk and Southern reports that the train wreck cleanup continues near the intersection of Dawkins Road and Webster Road.  They plan to re-open Dawkins Road at 3 p.m. Tuesday, while other roads continue to stay closed.

Webster Road between Dawkins Rd. and Edgerton Rd., will re-open Wednesday around 8:00 p.m. and all road closings scheduled until 9/17 for the railroad crossings at Ryan Road, Webster Road, Roussey Road, Sampson Road and Brobst Road have been postponed until further notice.

Detour signs have been posted in the area.
