UPDATE: Police Used Taser on MMA Fighter

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The man who was Tased by DeKalb County Sheriff's on Tuesday after he approached police in an aggressive manner, is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

David Herman was driving without headlights or taillights on I-69 near Ashley early Tuesday morning. Herman refused to pull over and led police on a high-speed chase for nearly 22 miles.

Herman exited at Indiana 6 and pulled into a gas station. That's when he got out of his car and approached police in an aggressive manner.

Police told him several times to get on the ground and when Herman failed to cooperate, they stunned him with the Taser. Meanwhile, Herman's wife recorded the entire incident from the car and posted the video on YouTube. 

According to the Journal Gazette, you can hear Herman shouting in the video, “Who are you?” Police resonded, “We are the police.”

Herman is charged with level 6 felonies, such as resisting law enforcement, battery, and neglect of a dependent. His child was also in the car during the incident.

No word if police had knowledge of Herman's MMA training.
