UPDATE: Police release surveillance photos of bank robbery suspect

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department are asking for your help in finding a suspect wanted for robbing the Chase Bank on Lima Road.

On Friday, just after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the robbery at 9105 Lima Road.

Police tell WOWO News, the suspect entered the bank and handed a bank teller a note demanding cash.  The note said the suspect had a weapon.

The suspect then left the scene in a cream-colored extended cab pick-up truck. The truck was described as being very dirty, with several dents. There was also a report of a white bulldog in the cab of the truck when the suspect took off.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 40-50 years-old.

Officers did not indicate if the suspect got away with anything and there were customers inside at the time of the attempted robbery, but not injuries were reported.

Investigators are asking if anyone, that was in the area of the Chase Bank Friday evening and observed any suspicious activity, to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260-427-1201 or the local FBI office 260-426-5331.

Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
