FORT WAYNE Ind. (WOWO): Multiple law enforcement agencies participated in a series of drug raids targeting the illegal sale of synthetic marijuana, otherwise known as “spice”. The investigation lasted several months, and police were able to arrest 12 people on Monday in connection to the production and manufacture of the drug.

The Allen County Swat Team obtained search warrants for a number of homes throughout the city, most located on the 1200 and 1300 block of Marion Street. According to the Journal Gazette, police found guns, chemicals, cash, heroin, pills, and spice during their investigations.

The “Brockway Boys” were identified as the group in charge of the profitable drug ring. Police arrested a dozen men and women, ranging between the ages of 18 to 37 for their involvement in the sale and distribution of drugs. All 12 people of those people are facing charges.
