UPDATE: Police Identify and Incarcerate Suspect from Meijer Thefts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The suspect involved in the Meijer store thefts has been identified and incarcerated, according to Fort Wayne Police.

Fort Wayne police need your help with identifying a suspect, who is wanted for stealing from the Meijer store on Lima Road.  According to Fort Wayne detectives, the suspect is also wanted for an attempted theft at the Meijer store on Illinois Road, Tuesday afternoon. 

 

The suspect walked into the Meijer store on Illinois Road and tried to take three car batteries and two shirts, but he was approached by a security guard, so he ran. The suspect took off in a grey or silver Saturn Ion with a spare tire, commonly referred to as a “doughnut spare” on one of the rear tires.
