UPDATE: Police Find Missing Dog

UPDATE: Peanut the dog and his owner have been reunited.  

Auburn Chief of Police Martin D. McCoy says Peanut was located at the Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control Facility where she was anonymously dropped off on Tuesday before noon.

AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): Auburn Police need help finding a missing dog.  

At around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, police responded to a theft call at DeKalb Health.  A man said he was helping his mother get into the hospital and left his car unattended with this dog Peanut.  When the man went back to his car 2 hours later, his dog was missing.  The vehicle was not locked.  

Peanut is a 19 month old male pure bread miniature Schnauzer and is salt and pepper in color.  He has a blue collar.  If anyone has information to the whereabouts of Peanut, you're asked to call the Auburn Police Department at 260-920-3200.
