FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): We may find out soon whether or not downtown Fort Wayne could get a new arena.

Word is a study committee could give a proposal to build an arena next to the Grand Wayne Center a “yes or no” recommendation on February 8th. That’s according to our partners in news at 21Alive, who cite an unidentified member of the committee.

Mayor Tom Henry set up the committee last year to look at the idea, which would build a $63-million facility that could seat up to 6,000 and would be positioned to complement Fort Wayne’s Memorial Coliseum and Embassy Theatre as entertainment options.
