UPDATE: Northern Indiana Counties Under Winter Weather Advisory

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. (WOWO): A winter weather advisory has been issued for extreme north central Indiana and Southern Michigan. The watch includes LaGrange County and is in effect until 7:00 p.m., Thursday night.


Additionally, Noble, Steuben, DeKalb and Kosciusko Counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 10 p.m. Wednesday night. We could see as much as 1-2 inches of snow along Highway 6, as well as 20 to 30 MPH areas of blowing snow.



The entire WOWO listening area is under a Wind Chill Advisory until Thursday. Wind Chills will make it feel like it's -25 at times.

National Weather Service forecasters say as much as 4 to 8 inches of new snow will combine with extreme cold in LaGrange County. Wind chills that could fall as low as -15 to -20 below zero. With the snow there is a risk of blowing and drifting.


You are urged to prepared for difficult travel with snow covered roads and limited visibility. Prolonged exposure to the cold may result in frostbite and hypothermia.
