UPDATE: Noble County Police Find Wanted Rape Suspect

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A wanted man has been found in Noble County. Tuesday, authorities there reached out to the public for help finding 43-year-old Sylvester Slone, who officials say has numerous felony charges against him in Kentucky. According to Trooper Justin Snyder, Tuesday night around 7:00, he received information that Slone was at a home on Mapes Road, just outside Kendallville. He then got updated information that Slone was at a house on Bodenhafer Drive, on the east side of the city. When Snyder and another trooper got to the scene, they saw a man fitting Slone's description in the backyard being confronted by Kendallville Police Officers. Slone was taken into custody and is being held in the Noble County Jail on the following charges from the State of Kentucky:

• Six Counts of Rape
• Six Counts of Sexual Abuse-First Degree
• Ten Counts of Sodomy-First Degree


The public is being credited with placing several calls to the Noble County Sheriff's Department, leading to Slone's arrest.

Officers with the Noble County Sheriff's Department are asking for your help in finding a wanted rape suspect.

43-year-old Sylvester Slone has been charged in Knott County, Kentucky with six counts of rape in the first degree, 10 counts of sodomy in the first degree and six counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.

Slone is described as a white man, about 5'7″, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

The Noble County Sheriff's Department currently has an active warrant for Slone's arrest. Anyone with information in regards to the location of Slone is asked to contact the Noble County Sheriff's Department at 260-636-2182, or your local law enforcement agency outside of Noble County.
