UPDATE: New details regarding shooting at Glenrbook Square Mall

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): New information has been released regarding a recent shooting at the Glenbrook Square Mall.

One man was shot in the leg outside the mall entrance near the food court around 6:15 p.m., Friday, June 15.

An off-duty Fort Wayne Police Sergeant, providing security for the mall, found the victim, Faizon Washington. The Sergeant applied a tourniquet to his leg to decrease the bleeding. While helping, the officer asked Washington if he knew who shot him. Washington, along with a woman standing with him, told police they did not know the shooter, according to our partners in news at ABC 21. However, Washington and the woman were able to tell police the shooter was a black man, about 5’5″ tall and around 22-years-old.

Anyone with any information on the shooting is being asked to call (260) 427-1222 or call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP. Meantime the incident remains under investigation.
