UPDATE: Man Dead After Nightclub Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne man wounded in a early morning shooting Sunday on St. Joe Road has died.

The man's name hasn't been identified and age hasn't been released.

The coroner's office has confirmed he died as result of gunshot wounds. It is the their homicide of the year. The victim is a black man.

It's the third homicide of the year in Allen County.

Just after 3 a.m., police working security at the nightclub heard gunshots. After clearing the crowd, they found the victim and another man wounded in the parking lot.

He was transported in critical condition but was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The other man, was last reported in good condition. Police think a fight may have sparked the shooting.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is in critical condition another in good condition following an shooting outside a northside night club Sunday morning.

Just after 3 a.m., officers working security at Piere's finished clearing a small fight outside and heard gun shots. As the cleared the crowd, they found the men wounded in the parking lot in the 5600 block of St. Joe Road.  The nightclub is just off St. Joe Center Road in the Marketplace of Canterbury.

Its not clear if the two men had any connection to each other or the shooter. Police continue to look for clues.
