UPDATE: Man Charged, Woman in Critical Condition After Stabbing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man has been charged after a stabbing that left a woman in critical condition. 49-year-old Dale Fransioli, of Fort Wayne has been preliminarily charged with Felony Aggravated Battery. The victim's name has not been released. She remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

A woman is in critical condition after a stabbing Tuesday last night on the city's South East side. Around 11:45 P.M., Police were called to Decatur Road near E. Tillman on a report of a stabbing. Officers got to the scene and found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital in serious condition where she was downgraded to critical condition. Investigators say a domestic disturbance between the victim and a man happened before the stabbing. The man was at the scene and at last report was being questioned by detectives at police headquarters. The victim and suspect have been in a relationship, according to police, who say charges will be filed once the interview process is finished.
