FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): We now know the identity of the man fatally shot early this morning on Lillie Street. 22-year-old Joseph Conwell, of Fort Wayne, was pronounced dead at Lutheran Hospital just after 3:00 this morning. He was taken there after he was found by emergency responders. 38-year-old William Martin is under arrest and faces a preliminary charge of aggravated battery.

One person is under arrest after update after a shooting on Lillie Street. Fort Wayne Police have arrested William E. Martin of Fort Wayne. Martin faces a preliminary charge of aggravated battery. According to Public Information Officer Mike Joyner, there had been a dispute between the victim and Martin over a prior vandalism and a female, which resulted in shooting.
Just after 2 this morning, Fort Wayne Police responded to Lillie Street on report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a man in the alley between Lillie Street and Winter Street. Police said it looked like the victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
