NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): One person is in critical condition and another in serious condition after a crash on I-469 near mile marker 23 in New Haven.

Sunday night, a Kia lost control on I-469, hit the center median and came to a stop in the driving lane of I-469. Prior to officers arriving, an Oldsmobile had stopped on the right shoulder of the roadway. Two people got out of the vehicle to help in pushing the Kia off the roadway. As officers arrived to investigate the single- vehicle crash, a pickup truck traveling northbound at a high rate of speed struck the Oldsmobile that was parked on the shoulder. The pickup flipped on its side before coming to a stop against an interstate exit sign.

One person was conscious and alert inside the pickup, another person was thrown from the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the crash remains under investigation.
