UPDATE: Hospitalized Man in St. Joseph County Identified

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers have identified a man hospitalized in St. Joseph County as 57-year-old Stephen Rodick of South Bend. Investigators say that several phone calls to the tip line helped in identifying the man.

Indiana Conservation Officers are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who was rescued from the St. Joseph River in South Bend Monday night. He is a white man, around 5’11”, weighing 220 pounds, and thought to be in his mid 50’s. He has hazel eyes, salt and pepper hair, and a mustache. He was wearing black cargo pants, a blue jacket, brown Merrell shoes size 10 ½, and had on a medical bracelet, listing him as taking Coumadin, with an O positive blood type and suffering from a tape allergy. He was taken to Memorial Hospital and is listed in critical condition. He was rescued from the river around 6:20 P.M. after emergency crews responded to the Darden Road area on reports of a man in the river.
