A home is badly damaged after flames broke out Tuesday afternoon.

Fort Wayne firefighters got the call to the house fire on Cass Street near Harrison and Wells Streets just before 4:30 p.m., Tuesday. Before their arrival, a woman and child escaped the home unharmed.
