UPDATE: Double Shooting Leaves One Dead and One Injured

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two potential shootings on Fort Wayne’s southeast side leaves one man dead and another in the hospital.


According to officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department, shots rang out around 1:43 p.m., Saturday afternoon near South Anthony Boulevard. While investigators were responding to the scene of the shooting, officers were called to the intersection of Robinwood and Oxford, on a report of a man lying in the street. That intersection is less than a mile from the shooting on South Anthony. 


Once officers arrived at the shooting on South Anthony, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in fair condition.


As officers arrived near the intersection of Robinwood and Oxford, they located a man lying in the street unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene. As of right now, police believe that he died from an apparent gunshot wound.

 

Investigators on both scenes are trying to talk with witness who may have information regarding either of the incidents. In the meantime, there are no suspects at this time and according to police, it’s unknown if the two incidents are related.
