UPDATE: Child on Life Support after Injuries Sustained in Fleming St. Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):A Fort Wayne boy is on life support for injuries sustained in a Saturday morning fire on the city's south side, according to our partners in news at 21Alive.

It happened around 10:10 a.m. on Fleming Street. According to the fire department, firefighters had to go inside to rescue the boy trapped inside the home after adults were unable to reach him. 

One adult was treated and released. It took about a minute for crews to arrive and about a half hour to bring under control. 

Five people, including two children were inside when the fire broke out. The two-story house was heavily damaged. 

The cause of the fie remains under investigation.
