UPDATE: Car Found in Warsaw Center Lake

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Officers in Kosciusko County were left looking for clues after a car was found in a lake about 120 feet offshore earlier this week.

The incident happened at Warsaw Center Lake where a park employee discovered the vehicle completely submerged. It was a Subaru with Florida plates and when police went looking for the driver, they found her safe and sound at home.

Stacey Page Online reports Ava Donovan was taken in for questioning. Turns out the 20-year-old admitted to police that she had a beer before getting behind the wheel. Donovan says she panicked after driving the vehicle into the lake, swam to shore, and walked home.

The car actually belonged to her mom and has already been pulled from the water. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at around $10,000.
