FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): A man’s body is found in the St. Joseph River near Shoaff Park. Fort Wayne police along with the Department of Natural Resources have been searching the area of the St. Joseph River in connection with a missing person investigation. 

This morning, the remains of a man were found downstream from this area.  As of right now, it hasn’t been confirmed if the remains found today are that of the missing person, but confirmation of the victim’s identity will be made by the Allen County Coroner who will also determine the cause and manner of death. 

At this time, police don’t believe any foul play is involved, but the incident is still under investigation.
