United Healthcare and Parkview Health Renew Network Relationship

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The following press release was issued Friday afternoon, in regards to United Healthcare and Parkview Health renewing their network relationship:


UnitedHealthcare, a UnitedHealth Group company (NYSE: UNH), and Parkview Health have agreed to a new multi-year agreement that gives United Healthcare's Commercial and Medicare Advantage Complete Choice members uninterrupted in-network coverage from United Healthcare at each of Parkview's hospitals, physician's offices, walk-in clinics and for all services provided by Parkview throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Parkview and United will also work to develop an innovative and cost effective Medicare Advantage product for 2016. 


Parkview Health is pleased with the progress made with UnitedHealthcare to reach an agreement,” said Mike Packnett, president and CEO, Parkview Health. “We appreciate the patience and support from our patients throughout this process as we’ve worked in good faith with United. We apologize for the uncertainty some of our patients have experienced over the last several weeks and we appreciate their continued support and trust they’ve placed in Parkview as their healthcare provider.”
