U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Accused of Sexual Assault While in Michigan City

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A U.S. Coast Guard petty officer has been accused of sexually assaulting two coworkers while stationed in Michigan City.


Alyssa Schiele is facing a court martial hearing after being charged with multiple violations of the Uniform Code of Military Conduct.


One of the victims filed a report in March alleging that Schiele had sexually assaulted her. Schiele could be dishonorably discharged from the Coast Guard and could face more than 70 years in prison if she is found guilty.
