Two IUBB Players Enter Pretrial Diversion Program

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – Indiana basketball players Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell and Stanford Robinson have entered pretrial diversion programs after being charged in April with consumption of an alcoholic beverage by a minor and possession of false identification.

Monroe County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Bob Miller said Monday the two signed up for the program last week. He said they were eligible to sign up for the program when they were cited April 25 but did not do so immediately.

Miller says the cases against them will be dismissed if they complete 10 hours of community service, attend alcohol education classes and avoid further legal trouble.

Ferrell, a junior, led the Hoosiers in scoring last season at 17.3 points a game. Robinson, a sophomore, started nine games and averaged 6.4 points a game.
