Two Injured in Fulton County Shooting

CULVER, Ind. (WOWO): Around 1:30 Saturday morning, officers responded to a report of a possible shooting at a residence on West Fulton County Road 800 North, in rural Culver. When crews arrived, they found 32-year-old Jeffery Greer lying outside the home. He appeared to have a gunshot wound to his face. His estranged wife, 29-year-old Melanie Greer was found inside the home. She also appeared to have a gunshot wound to the face. They were both conscious and alert.

The pair was flown to the hospital. They were listed in critical condition.

Officials say the shooting allegedly stemmed from a domestic dispute. Evidence indicates that Jeffery Greer allegedly broke into the home and shot Melanie Greer. He then purportedly shot himself.

There were two boys, ages seven and ten, inside the residence at the time of the shooting. They were not injured.
