Two Fires in Fort Wayne Keep Crews Busy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two fires in Fort Wayne kept crews busy this morning. The first was reported around 9:15 A.M. at a home on Sherwood Terrace near Spatz Avenue. No one was home at the time of the fire. Crews got the blaze under control in less than 10 minutes. The home suffered moderate damage. Then crews responded to a fire around 9:45 A.M. at a home on Brentwood Avenue near Oxford Street. Both occupants – a woman and a child – made it out safely.  Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the home suffered heavy damage. Red Cross was contacted to help the family. No injuries were reported in either fire.
