Two Dead in Fiery Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two people are dead after a fiery car crash Sunday morning in Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne Police were called to Ardmore and Covington Roads at a little before 4:30am to find a car off the road, on fire. After fire crews extinguished the blaze they found two bodies inside the car, but the intensity of the fire's damage has officers unsure if there were any additional victims.

Witnesses told police the car was headed northbound on Ardmore at a high rate of speed before leaving the road, hitting several trees, and bursting into flames. Police believe speed was a factor in the crash but are unsure if alcohol played a role. The victims have not yet been identified.
