Two Dead After Crash Early Tuesday Morning

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two people are dead after a crash early Tuesday morning on Fort Wayne's west side. According to Fort Wayne Police, officers were called to the intersection of Butler Road and Butler Court at 3:30 A.M. in reference to a personal injury accident. When units got to the scene, they found a vehicle off the road fully engulfed in flames. Fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire. Investigators found one victim on the ground outside the vehicle and another victim inside. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the vehicle was going northeast as it left the road and hit a tree. Police say it is believed that speed may be a factor in the crash. It is unclear if alcohol was a factor.
