Two Captured In New Haven Armed Robbery

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): Police captured two suspects after an armed robbery at a New Haven gas station.

Around 11:17 p.m. Thursday night New Haven police responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery at the Speedway Station located at Lincoln Highway and Hartzell Road.  Witnesses said two males, dressed all in black robbed the gas station and fled on foot.  Officers were also told a white vehicle was involved, but when the vehicle left the scene they were stopped waiting for a train.

Police used K9 crews to find the handgun involved in the robbery, and meanwhile approached the white vehicle to find two females inside.  Neither of the male suspects were inside.

Not much later a witness of the robbery spotted two males walking south on Brookwood Drive, south of SR 930.  At 11:22 p.m. police were able to capture 22 year old Dale A Leach and 24 year old Alexander R. Yoho.  They were both charged with 1 count of robbery.  One of the females inside the white vehicle was detained due to an outstanding warrant and a local charge.
