Truck Set On Fire After Colliding With Semi, Fatality Confirmed

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A fatal crash has closed a part of I-69 Thursday evening in Fort Wayne.

Dispatch tells WOWO News a truck and semi collided on southbound I-69 near the Union Chapel Road exit, setting the truck on fire. At least one person has died, but at this time not a lot of details are available.

As of 6:30 p.m., drivers in the area driving southbound are able to exit on Union Chapel Road, but long delays and backups are reported both north and southbound I-69. You should avoid the area.
