Truck Parade Aiming for World Record

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Hundreds of trucks are expected to fill the streets for a parade near Coliseum Boulevard early Saturday afternoon. And police expect some delays to accompany it. It's part of the GM Homecoming this weekend and organizers are hoping for more than 387 truck to set a new world record. They estimate it could easily be more than 500.

If you are in the area when the trucks are driving by, you could have to wait five to 10 minutes for them to pass, so police say, be patient and just enjoy the show.

According to The Journal-Gazette, the trucks will pull out of the Coliseum parking lot at 1 p.m. and head south on Parnell Avenue to St. Joseph Boulevard, cross the Columbia Street Bridge into downtown and take Clay Street to East Jefferson Boulevard.

The trucks will follow that until it turns into Indiana 930 into New Haven, then take Maplecrest Road north to St. Joe Center Road. The parade will turn south onto St. Joe Road and end at IPFW.
