Truck found in Spy Run Creek, State Blvd. briefly closed

(Sam Bauman/WPTA)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A portion of State Boulevard in Fort Wayne was closed early this morning after a pickup truck was found in Spy Run Creek.

Shortly after 6am, police closed down State Blvd. between Clinton and Wells streets after the white four-door truck was found resting on its roof in the water. Rescue crews weren’t able to find anyone inside the vehicle or nearby. Responders used heavy machinery to pull it out of the water and onto the nearby bridge.

Sam Bauman with our Partners in News at ABC 21 reported this from the scene:

That portion of State was reopened about an hour after the crash was first reported.
