Trick-or-Treating Hours in Fort Wayne, Not Changing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Despite a rainy forecast for Halloween in the Fort Wayne area, city officials have decided not to move “Trick-or-Treating” from Thursday to Friday.

Mayor Henry’s office along with Police Chief Rusty York, issued the following statement:

“Though we received some inquiries into the rescheduling of Trick-or-Treating due to the weather forecast, it was decided that because of several area events already scheduled for Friday evening, the move would create a burden for many families”.

However, if you’re still planning to brave the weather and head out to Trick-or-Treat from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.,
parents should adjust to the forecast and ensure that all trick-or-treaters are prepared for inclement weather.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service calls for windy conditions with an early rain. Then it’s predicted to remain cloudy with a few showers towards the evening and night hours.
