FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Although crews were able to make significant progress plowing the main roads yesterday, many secondary and rural roads are ice-covered, slick and hazardous because of the extreme cold overnight and this morning. Conditions are expected to improve as temperatures rise during the day, but drivers should remain on alert for “black ice” and slick spots on highways. Also under a travel advisory today: Steuben, Noble, Kosciusko, Wabash, Grant, and Jay counties. Whitley, Huntington, Wells, and Adams remain under a travel watch.
