WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind (WOWO): A traffic stop for a moving violation by Indiana State Police led to the discovery of heroin, marijuana and other controlled substances which resulted in the arrest of two men from Ohio and one from Illinois yesterday afternoon.

According to police the stop was on U.S. 30, just outside of Columbia City. When police approached the driver, an officer said 33-year-old Michael Yoha from Mansfield, Ohio and his two passengers were acting suspicions and they gave false information relating to their true identities. 

Further investigation led to the discovery of more than 50 grams of heroin, an unknown amount of marijuana and numerous narcotic pills.

One of the passengers also had federal arrest warrants issued for him for trafficking heroin. All three men were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Whitley County Jail.

o Possession with Intent to Distribute, Class B Felony 

• Vanness D. Oliver, 34 from Mansfield, OH 
o Possession of Heroin or Narcotic Drug Over 3 grams, Class C Felony 
o Possession with Intent to Distribute, Class B Felony 

• Edward J. Jones, 35 from Chicago, IL 
o Possession of Controlled Substance, Class D Felony 
o Possession of Marijuana, Class D Felony 
o Refusal to Identify, Class C Misdemeanor 
o False Informing, Class B Misdemeanor 
o Two Active Federal Arrest Warrants for Trafficking Heroin
