TOLEDO, Ohio (AP): Organizers in northwest Ohio are searching for two specific Jeep models in an effort to have at least one example of every model year on hand to help celebrate the brand’s 75th anniversary this summer.
The Blade in Toledo reports organizers of the Toledo Jeep Fest are still looking for Jeeps from 1956 and 1957 for the Aug. 13 event. So far, no one has registered models from those two years.
Organizers have said the new event is expected to draw several thousand people and hundreds of Jeeps to the city. The free festival will include a parade, history displays and other events. An all-Jeep car show is planned at the city’s downtown convention center.
More than 800 Jeeps have been signed up for the car show and parade.
