Ticketmaster ending outlet sales at Coliseum, Embassy, Walmarts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Ticketmaster is changing how you may buy tickets to events.

Starting June 1, Ticketmaster will end all Ticketmaster outlets and outlet sales. This means that you can’t buy tickets to concerts, sports, and other events that will be held at locations other than the location you’re buying from.

For example, you won’t be able to go to Walmart to buy tickets for an event at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum or go to the Coliseum to buy tickets for a show at the Embassy Theatre. You can still buy tickets at each location’s box office as long as the event is being held there.

Ticketmaster says a shift in buying habits is causing them to change their policy, as outlet sales account for very little of their ticket revenue, according to press releases from both the Coliseum and Embassy Theatre.
