Three Teens Charged in July 9th Slaying

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Three teenagers from the southeast side of Fort Wayne have been charged in the July 9th shooting of 30 year old Melvin Palmer III.

According to the Journal-Gazette, 17 year old Shakidi Underwood, 16 year old Kamari Underwood, and 16 year old Vicxon Gray were charged Friday. The three were the subjects of a long police standoff on July 9th when police surrounded a home that they thought the three took cover in. They weren't found that day.

The Underwoods and Gray are charged with single counts of murder, felony murder, and robbery. It's unknown if they have been arrested.

Palmer was shot on Lillie Street near East Rudisill. He later died at the hospital. He was the 15th homicide of the year in Allen County.
