Three simultaneous fires under investigation

NEW HAVEN, Ind., (WOWO): Authorities are investigating a series of fires in Riverhaven early Sunday morning.

One fire was on Portola Drive and with two others on Waverly Drive. All are in the New Haven-Adams Township fire district. Crews were called out around 5 a.m., with all three brought under control around 5:30 a.m.

Fire officials told the Journal-Gazette its typically not a coincidence with several fires happening at the same time, but they the investigation was underway. The newspaper report also indicated the three fires were a good distance away from each other.

A vehicle was destroyed. A pole barn and a garage were also damaged and one family was left homeless. 


Firefighters from Fort Wayne and Woodburn also assisted.
