Three Promoted on FWFD

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Three Fort Wayne Firefighters have been promoted. In ceremonies today, Captain Brett Brown was promoted to District Chief of Health and Safety.  Captain Jay Gordnt is now District Chief of Logistics. Private Mitch Maisonneuve is now Captain/Inspector of Fire Prevention.

Gorndt will direct maintenance, inventory and purchase of apparatus, trucks and equipment. He has been with the department for 16 years.

Brown supervises the department's fitness and wellness programs. He also heads up the inspection and monitoring apparatus and equipment. Brown has been with the department for 16 years and spent 20 years in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Maisonneuve is a 15-year member of the FWFD. He also is a paramedic and a member of the water rescue team.
